Cone Penetration Testing Equipment (CPT)

Pitcher Drilling Company maintains specially designed cone penetration vehicles complete with advanced computer monitoring systems allowing for real-time data reporting.

CPT Advantages    

      -  Detailed hydrogeologic profiling at an average rate of
         400 to 500 feet per day.

      -  Provides a near continuous log of the site lithology
      -  Ideal for sands, silts, clays, soft soils and mine tailings
      -  Provides piezometric data in addition to geotechnical
         design parameters
      -  Add-ons such as seismic, resistivity, UVIF and gamma
         modules provide additional data

CPT Deployment

      -  Rigs consist of hydraulic jacking and reaction systems

•      -  CPT rigs have a 30/25/10 ton thrust capacity
•      -  Hydraulic ram load transferred to the rods by a
         clamping system
•      -  Stainless steel rig enclosures provide ideal space for
         electronic CPT recording system
•      -  Equipped with under carriage cameras to aid operator in
         rig positioning
